Scantech, a global leader in the field of online elemental analyzers in the mining industry, is looking for a suitably qualified engineer to represent our service group in the US.
As a service representative your objectives will be to:
• Sustain long term relationships with Scantech Customers.
• Develop and improve Scantech product support.
• Ensure optimal availability of clients analyzers.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the equipment and services provided by the Service Group.
• Maintain knowledge of new developments in electronics and software.
• Ensure that Scantech products remain up to date and competitive.
• Promote the Service Group’s objectives and strategies.
Your Key Performance Indicators will be:
• Contribute to achieving the Service Group’s Objectives
• Optimize the availability of client’s analyzers.
• Servicing of Scantech Instruments requiring you to spend about 80% of your working time on site.
• Positive feedback from customers on the equipment and services provided.
If you have the following characteristics, we would like to hear from you:
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Science.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
• Highly self-motivated and autonomous.
• Very good computer skills and understanding of electronics.
• Very good understanding of Windows operating systems and networks.
• Very good understanding of communication systems.
• Hands-on experience with setting up and servicing instrumentation.
• Good planning, time management and organization skills.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions for improving Scantech products.
• Good understanding statistical analysis.
• Ability to relate to, and work with, both technical and non-technical staff.
• Must have a valid car driver’s licence.
• Must have valid passport and be able/willing to travel to South America for work and to Australia for training.
• Be capable of working in coal and cement plant environments.
