Westmoreland Coal Company Has New Corporate Headquarters in Metro Denver

Westmoreland Coal Company reported the home of its corporate headquarters will be moving to Englewood, Colorado, in November 2011. Westmoreland signed a multi-year lease with a subsidiary of Shea Properties for space in Shea’s Maroon V building located in the Meridian International Business Center.
“We are pleased to announce Westmoreland’s upcoming relocation to the Denver area,” said Keith E. Alessi, President and chief executive officer. “We believe the move to Denver will give us better visibility with other public mining and energy companies, lower the overall cost of travel and fees and expenses with our Denver-based third-party providers, such as our auditors and lawyers, and provide us with greater exposure to a broader pool of public company and energy company talent.”
“We are thrilled to have such a strong company as Westmoreland Coal Company join our tenant roster at our M5 building located in Meridian International Business Park,” said Peter Culshaw, executive vice president of Shea Properties. “This will be a great location for them and one in which they will be able to grow and prosper.
