Auriga Gold Appoints General Manager for the Maverick Gold Project, Manitoba
Auriga Gold Corp. has appointed Mike Kernick as General Manager of the Maverick Gold Project located in Manitoba.
Mr. Kernick will be responsible for the planned mining and milling operations at the Maverick Gold Project. Specifically, his experience with various Timmins area mines will be readily applicable to the development of the open pit and redevelopment of the underground mine at the Puffy Lake Property. Mr. Kernick has over 20 years of experience in underground and open pit mining operations, particularly in narrow vein gold mining. Mr. Kernick comes to Auriga from the Lake Shore Gold’s Bell Creek Mine as Mine Superintendent, Underground Superintendent at Trelawney’s Chester Mine and prior to that, Mine Manager at Liberty Mine’s Redstone Mine.
