The new KonNx USA Corp. was incorporated in December 2008 and uses the trade name KonNx Inc.
The office/warehouse complex is located in Denver and warehouses more than $500,000 in inventory to cover all KonNx “Worry Free” High Voltage Coupler Systems presently in use in North America.
Whether it is 995; 2,300; 4,160; 7,200; 12,470; 13,200; 21,600 or 25,000 volts for surface or underground power distribution systems, the KonNx line of high voltage couplers are the safest and most reliable coupler in the world.
Coupler System Features
—Full-phase segregation throughout the coupler eliminates the possibility of a phase-to-phase fault.
—The face profile and silicon rubber connector expels all air when connected, eliminating condensation, dust and corona. This extends the life of the coupler.
—Insulation materials have been engineered to extinguish arcs.
—Coupler has a water and dust ingress rating of IP68.
—The same coupler is fitted to each end of the cable, eliminating the possibility of cables being installed the wrong way around.
—The couplers are bolted together, eliminating the problems associated with threaded connections.
KonNx is the trading name as well as the name for the range of products available in North and South America. Ausproof manufactures the couplers and is based in Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. The company was started in 1994 and now supplies electric couplers to both coal and metaliferous mines throughout Australia, South America, the U.S. and around the world.
