With an objective to provide more and more mission-critical communication products and services for enterprise and government customers, Motorola Solutions has expanded its portfolio of mobile computers by rolling-out the MC75A enterprise mobile computer, MC9190 mobile computer, and MC9500 mobile computer, which are all suitable for hazardous environments.
According to a press release, the newly expanded line of rugged mobile computers by Motorola Solutions was co-developed with BARTEC and will help improve the safety of users in hazardous locations (Haz-Loc).

Designed to meet the requirements of a broad range of mobile workers in the manufacturing, government, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, the newly released Haz-Loc-certified, rugged mobile computers from Motorola are UL Class I, Class II and Class III, Division 2-compliant
In addition, the newly released Haz-Loc-certified, rugged mobile computers are complemented by equivalently certified products available from BARTEC along with ATEX Zone 2- and Zone 22-compliant configurations.
For those unaware, the UL compliance is required for hazardous applications in North America, and ATEX Zone 2 is required within the European Union.
The newly released 3.5G MC75A is a turbocharged EDA in a field-proven rugged form factor. It is designed to addresses business critical mobility requirements by maximizing processing power, rugged design, application flexibility, data capture capabilities, connectivity options, security and manageability.
Available in two options, namely 3.5G WWAN/WLAN and WLAN only, the 3.5G MC75A facilitates enterprises to standardize on a single EDA to support workers inside and outside the four walls.
These are not MSHA permissible handhelds.
